Food Pick Up: Tuesdays 1 PM to 3 PM and Thursdays 3 PM to 5 PM
Family/Children Food Bag Pick Up: Fridays 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Effective Monday, March 16, 2020, we will continue to distribute nutritious food to all people in need, though the Pantry building itself will only be open to staff. Distribution will be at “curbside” in the LFRC parking lot. Everyone will be given food regardless of the date of their last food pick up.
- When you enter the parking lot, a volunteer wearing a bright yellow vest will greet you and record your name and the number of adults and children in your household.
- You will then be instructed to drive to the back of the building and stop at the distribution tables/tent.
- A volunteer will place a food bag according to your household size in the trunk or backseat of your vehicle.
To ensure that all children, particularly those who receive free and reduced-price meals at school, and their families, have access to nutritious food, we will be distributing special food bags that can be picked up at the LFRC. These food bags will contain basic items such as pasta, beans, rice, milk, eggs, ground beef, bread, fresh fruit and vegetables. Ready-to-heat-and-eat, food items such as macaroni & cheese, prepared in the LFRC commercial kitchen, will also be included. No preregistration is required.
Pick up will be in the LFRC parking lot following the procedures above; there is no need for recipients to leave their vehicles.
Until further notice, clients will be provided with food bags that have been preassembled by volunteers. The food bag contents will be based on family size and the number of adults and children in the household.
Food bags will contain nonperishable staple items such as beans, rice, lentils, pasta, canned vegetables and fruit. Perishable items provided will include bread, eggs, milk, ground beef and fresh fruit and vegetables. Ready to heat and eat food, such as macaroni & cheese, chili, and soup, prepared in the LFRC Kitchen will also be included. Enough food will be provided to feed each member of the household for seven days. You can review all sanitation procedures outlined below.
