Nearly half of Livingston’s school children qualify for free and reduced-price meals at school. For many of these children, the meals that they receive at school are their primary source of food during the week and they frequently face food insufficiency at home on weekends and holidays.

To help bridge these gaps, the Livingston Food Resource Center’s Backpack Buddies program provides bags of nutritious, supplemental food to an average of 300 children every week during the school year.
