Simple Pleasures: Ways to Give Back to Your Community

Simple pleasures are experiences that can bring joy and gratitude and may be as simple as coffee with a friend, curling up with a good book or an afternoon nap.

Fall is in the air. Time to enjoy the simple pleasures of cooler temperatures, color changes in the mountains and valleys, fall sports and all things autumnal. The LFRC kitchen crew agrees that warm and hearty soups, chowders, stew or chili served in your favorite soup mug on a cool fall evening is a seasonal delight.

The LFRC strives to not only provide critical food access, but strive to create these experiences. House-made soups and “comfort” meals are being prepared daily by our talented and dedicated pantry kitchen team, available to our Park County friends and neighbors through the Food Pantry and other programming.

Consider volunteering with the LFRC Community Kitchen and find the connection and fulfillment of providing for your community. There are so many ways to contribute to the nutritious (and tasty!) meals being produced. You can volunteer time to practice your kitchen skills, package or distribute meals, donate garden and farm/ranch produce (did you know you can donate meat to the LFRC by donating livestock for processing?), or make a financial donation to our programming.

Seek the simple pleasures this season.
