We are thrilled to announce a new partnership with Town and Country, which complements our ongoing collaboration with Albertsons, for our fresh rescue program. This initiative plays a crucial role in diverting food from landfills and bringing it to our food pantry, ensuring that nutritious food reaches those who need it most.
In May alone, we received an impressive 3,445 pounds of fresh food. Many of these items, such as yogurt and fresh berries, are typically inaccessible for us to purchase and distribute.
One particularly heartwarming highlight this past month was our ability to provide families with entire flats of strawberries. This not only prevented these delicious berries from going to waste but also allowed our clients to celebrate the beginning of summer in a delightful and memorable way.
